Considering the fast-growing business, we are looking for a new colleague to join our friendly team and fill the Lawyer position within our Legal Department.
Your main responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and manage various legal projects
- Prepare, review, and analyze legal documents as well as conduct legal research if required to ensure the company’s performance and compliance mainly in corporate, financial, regulatory, and employment law
- Prepare legal memos and reports, internal policies as well as procedures
- Maintain various registers and files in order
- Monitor, analyze, and summarize information regarding the newest legal issues and developments in Latvia as well as the EU which could affect the company’s and its daughter companies’ operations and general business environment. Additionally, ensure the implementation of legislative changes in business operations
- Advise the company’s management and colleagues on various legal issues upon request
We expect:
- A Master’s degree in law
- At least 3 years of professional experience in a legal position. Previous work experience in a financial institution or fintech company will be considered an advantage
- Excellent English, Latvian, and Russian language skills (both in written and verbal communication)
- Excellent communication skills, proactive personality, accuracy, and care for quality of work
- Ability to operate calmly in a dynamic working environment and being adaptable
- Ability to multi-task, set priorities for individual work and deadlines
- Ability to identify legal risks and seek for solutions
