Considering the rapid growth of the business, we are looking for a new colleague to join our friendly team and fill the position of AML Specialist.
What you will do:
- Research customers of VIAINVEST clients (private individuals and legal entities) or potential clients before establishing cooperation
- Identify the initial AML/CFT risk inherent in the client and its operations
- Define restrictions and transaction limits based on clients’ investigation
- Make conclusions on establishing a cooperation with various kinds of clients
- Conduct in-depth research of the client
- Monitor customers and their transactions during business relationships and identify suspicious transactions
- Improve the company internal policies in the field of AML/CFT
- Consult colleagues on questions related to KYC and AML
- Promote continuous improvement of internal control system (procedures, requirements, plans)
Your skills, abilities and personal qualities:
- At least 2 years working experience with KYC procedures and research, transaction investigation and sanctions control
- Proficiency in English, Latvian and Russian is a must
- Analytical thinking, ability to pay attention to details and to identify risks related to anti-money laundering and counter terrorism financing practices
- Initiative and ability to engage in productive discussions
