Data Protection Officer

Considering the fast-growing business, we are looking for a bright mind to join our legal team and fill the position of Data Protection Officer.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Ensure the compliance of JSC VIA SMS group and its subsidiaries with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and local legislation
• Develop and maintain internal procedures and rules of the Group in relation to data protection
• Prepare, review, and analyze other legal documents to ensure the Company’s performance and compliance with relevant data protection norms
• Manage staff and management awareness by consultations and trainings to deliver compliance of data security within the Group

We expect from you:

• University degree in Law
• Working experience as Data protection Specialist with a proven track record
• Strong experience in data protection topics, detailed knowledge of data security, and experience in data auditing
• Ability to make decisions and take responsibility for them
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Excellent English and Latvian language skills (both in written and verbal communication)
