We are searching for a result-driven individual with a positive attitude to join our friendly team and lead the legal department as the HEAD OF LEGAL.
Job responsibilities:
- Initiate and manage legal document development projects, ensure their compliance with applicable laws and regulations, as well as the interests of related parties
- Represent the interests of the company itself and those companies that are related, in state institutions as well as in relations with both, existing and future cooperation partners and customers
- Monitor, analyze, and compile information on the legal issues in Latvia and the European Unions that is applicable to the operations of the company. In addition, to ensure the implementation of changes in regulatory enactments in the operation of the company and the group as a whole
- Perform legal risks analyses and verify the legality of documents
- Advise the company’s management and employees of the company’s structural units on various legal issues
- Manage and oversee legal department operations, including the planning of employee workflow
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in law
- Professional experience in a managerial position
- Experience in licensing business and certain business areas
- Prior experience of successfully leading negotiations on complex, high-value, contracts and agreements
- Fluent/native level proficiency in English, Latvian, and Russian in both spoken and written divisions
- Ability to make decisions and take responsibility for their outcomes
- Superb communication and argumentation skills
- Ability to operate calmly in dynamic environments and being adaptable
