Following the news of the Financial and Capital Market Commission of the Republic of Latvia, regarding the imposed fine on JSC VIA SMS Group for delayed publication of the Audited Consolidated Annual Report for 2018, JSC VIA SMS group confirms its willingness to cooperate with the regulator to prevent similar situations in the future.
Since 2014, when JSC VIA SMS group bonds were first listed on Nasdaq OMX Baltic stock exchange market, the company shall distribute an annual account and consolidated annual account together with an opinion of the sworn auditor within four months after the end of the reporting period, but not later than on the next working day after the auditor’s report on the account is provided in compliance with Financial Instrument Market Law section 56 part 5. JSC VIA SMS group informs that aforementioned documents for financial year 2018 were published on 3rd of May, 2019. The delay was caused by transition to IFRS 9 (International Financial Reporting Standards) and standardization of accounting policies and procedures within the Group. The Group implemented quarterly reporting in 2019, which stipulates publication of annual report along with auditor’s opinion on time.
JSC VIA SMS group will present operating financial statements for the first 9 months of the year 2019 by November 29, 2019. Annual and interim reports of JSC VIA SMS group for previous years are available on the company’s website.
